Today was a half day of work/school for the kids and I. I decided to run with the vacation theme and take a vacation from dinner. I had cash from 2 piano lessons this week and we ordered pizza. The kids were beside themselves, waiting for the delivery man at the door. Ate on paper plates. For once, I just waited for dinner to come and threw away the plates afterward. No cooking, no clean-up. I was able to snuggle with the monkeys in front of the tv until it came and am now able to chill and relax, knowing there are no pots/pans/dishes to wash.

Hosting the in-laws tomorrow and my parents on Christmas, so I'm trying to bottle this feeling because I won't have it again for a long time!
