Cream cheese, seafood sauce, ripe olives, and surimi all bought on sale and made into a dip, served on Triscuits and Breton crackers from the clearance cart. Very frugal and tasty. And maybe some house-brand pop bought on sale. Very exciting stuff. And healthy, too!

I don't know! I asked Dh what he wants & he said "Something good" Well ok, lol. I'm thinking...Happy hour will be some of that cheese, sausage & crackers a secret santa sent ( to the mystery person, it was addressed to hubby so maybe an old co-worker? How nice of them!)and I'll have to get back to you on dinner.

We're having family over tonight and we will have a simple meal of meatballs, mashed potatoes (the good kind made with sour cream and cream cheese - low fat of course haha), caesar salad, garlic bread and a veggie tray with dip. Something we can serve and eat on the couch with while we watch movies etc.

This is the first year that we're going to let our four youngest try to stay up (ok, well, maybe not the baby, but the three youngest boys, anyway!)

We're having broiled salmon filet, crab claws, garlic butter shrimp, scalloped potatoes and broccoli. I may or may not make a cheesecake, depending on how long everything else takes and the shopping I have to do to get ready!

    Happy New Year FV'ers!

BBQ, believe it or not. Friend of ours is having a BBQ as part of his New Years Eve celebrations. Definitely unusual in Northern Ireland in January - should be good fun.
