What's for dinner 10/7?
We're having homemade macaroni & cheese and a mix of waxed & green beans.

Tacos and refried beans. Got some cinnamon rolls going now...Don't know if I can wait until dinner for one of them-may have to have one with a cup of coffee when they get done!

I want something different tonight, I've been making the same set of meals over and over lately so I am going to make a tuna spinach braid.
Fall weather has definitely set in and the store had a good sale on pot roast and pork loin this week, so I'll be making a pot roast, and a nice pot of pozole during this week. Yum! I have Mon. and Tue. of next week off (yay!) and I am usually in more of a mood to cook on my days off.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Tilapia fish fillets, brown rice and spinach (the spinach has been in the freezer for over 2 months) so it shouldn't have any e-coli.

Italian Sausage. Would like to make something different with it if I can find a recipe that I have everything on hand. Something like stir fry?
Made cupcakes and carrot/pineapple bread for a bake sale at church tomorrow. The bread is really good.

I made some tartiflette today (a french dish that is similar to scalloped potatoes...its just sliced potatoes alternating with layers of cheese and ham or bacon) from some leftovers to pop in the oven while baking a walnut pie for Canadian Thanksgiving so dinner tonight will be tartiflette and a side of green veggies.
