Pillows from fabric samples
At our local fabric discount/odd lots/seconds store and also at some furniture stores they have fabric samples, many nice upholstery weight, about 18" x 18", and you can sew these together in various combinations and stuff them to make pillows. My one problem (suggestions wanted) is how to get the glued-on manufacturer's label off of them, sometimes it comes off, more often it does not, but for .50 per sample, it is a very frugal way of making a gift for someone, and you can decorate it when you are done with trim, cord, tassels, applique, something.
