Everyone who responds
to your post in the pen pal club is not going to be compatible. Don't be
afraid to reject a pen pal, but you should always turn the person down in
a kind and considerate manner. There are several polite
ways you can turn down a request for a pen pal. Follow these simple guidelines
so that you don't hurt anyone's feelings. If you feel that from
their initial contact letter that you just do not have anything in common,
or you're just not interested in that particular person, you should send
the individual a polite response. The same rule applies to a pen pal you
may have been corresponding with in the past, but for whatever reason have
decided to stop corresponding. Thank the person for responding to your pen
pal post and be honest in your reasoning for not being able to correspond
or continue to correspond with them. You can respond with reasons such as
having too many responses to your pen pal ad, not having as much in common
as you would like, being busier than you were when first corresponding, or
your personal choice to the type of person, age, or gender you want to correspond
with. Remember that you shouldn't
jump in and try to gain many pen pals, and then find that you can't keep
up with it all. That isn't fair to anyone. The idea is to have this be a
fun experience for all involved. Please keep in mind
that FrugalVillage.com does try to moderate who is in the club. We currently
do not want members that are male or any "lonely hearts" or "looking
for love" types. There are plenty of these types of websites, so if
this describes you, please look elsewhere. This is a friendly women's group
made up of women from all walks of life that wish to meet new pals or trade
fun items from all over the world. FrugalVillage.com recommends
that you post a free service email in your post. We currently have an email
service available for you to sign up for, if you so do wish. Please refer
to our terms of service to be informed about our disclaimer regarding the
use of our website. We do remind you to use common sense, caution and proper
conduct in dealing with people over the internet. We'll not be held responsible
if anything goes wrong. Welcome to the pen
pal club. The possibilities of fun are endless. Some of us are seasoned swappers
while some of us are newbies. Don't be intimidated by all the lingo. (not
every pen pal uses it) Everyone was a newbie at one time too. If at any time you would like to modify/delete your pen pal request post, please feel free to email me at webmaster@FrugalVillage.net. |
