Ice Cream Sundae Candy Dish

What you'll need:
Glass or plastic, Sundae dishes, Float glasses, sundae cups, or any container that makes you think of an ice cream sundae or float. Any piece of clear plastic for the lid. I use soda bottles, coffee can lids, and milk jugs etc. White Curling ribbon. You'll need about 20 to 25 yards for each one, so I suggest buying the large spools at the craft or party store they will only cost you about $2.00 and will make about 15 projects. Hot glue gun & glue. Scissors, Pen, a sharpie works well for drawing on plastic, Packing tape or wide scotch tape, Red Pom Poms (I use- 1 inch or 2.5 cm About the size of a cherry) Candies, I like to use Chocolates, but it can be expensive. Buy Candy at after holiday sales. (rootbeer barrels look great in the mugs!)
Turn the cup upside down on the piece of plastic and draw around the outside.
Cut out for the lid.
Fill the jar with candy.Place the plastic cutout lid on top. Use tape to secure. Tape around the outside to the container, leaving the tape partially on the glass and partially above the rim. Press down around the lid. (It would be something like a tamper proof seal)
Curl plenty of ribbon and mound together and tie into a ball.This will be the whipped cream on top, check it on the glass to be sure you have enough ribbon to cover.
Using hot glue, Glue the ball of ribbon to the top of the glass.
Using hot glue, Glue on the Pom Pom for the Cherry on top.
To finish: I either put a straw or a spoon. The straws should be cut down to about 4 inches or a natural size for the glass. I use plastic spoons for ice cream dishes. I like the way the colored spoons look. They can be purchased in most party sections, but white ones can also be used.
