We are FINALLY adopting!!!!

I am so excited I could literally just burst!!!
As everyone knows we have been foster parents for the past few years in the hopes of adopting a child. We have had the worst luck, but been able to help a lot of children. After our last heartache of raising a baby from 10 months to 2 1/2 years I went a head and allowed my family to contact friends who run an orphanage in Honduras. Today was our first court date in Honduras. Things went well. We are adopting a little girl we are naming Emily Joyce. She is 3 1/2 and is expected to arrive in the U.S. on October 2. She has a baby sister due in January, The birth mother really wanted to keep the children together so the baby is expected to arrive here in February. After nearly 4 years (and 11 foster children) it looks like it is finally coming together. Please send your prayers and happy thoughts (to any god, goddess or deity of your choice) that this all is real and actually happens.

Kellie, what fabulous news! I hope it all goes smoothly for you and your husband and that your little girl Emily, is joined by her brother or sister soon after.

Kellie I am wishing you all the very best. You have opened your hearts & home to many children and I'm hoping that this adoption goes smoothly for you both. Those kids have lots of love and caring parents waiting for them.

Oh, Kellie, what great news. A good friend has been though the hard times hoping to adopt can bring, but once it works out, it is great. I can just tell you two are going to be fabulous parents and I am SOOOO happy for you!
