    Default new forum announcement

I've opened a private forum. if you'd like access to it, please pm me or reply to this post. It will be a forum that contains posts of a more personal nature. Some posts aren't really topics that I think the entire community should read. I don't want to take away the option for members to share personal topics, but I think there are quite a few topics that are best placed in a more private area.

I am obviously the guilty party here - so I would like to be included. Course I don't know how to keep my mouth shut so hopefully I will be able to Identify what is private.

I know I have definately over stepped my bounds and I apologize for crying on other peoles shoulders. The one thing that does concern me  is that alot of the more tentative ladies have begun to open up with personal stuff and I feel like some real friendships have been developing. I would hate to think anyone who might potentially share a problem was precluded because they did not have access to the private forum when they really needed it.

just a thought definately not a criticism of any thing sara does at FV - she is awesome. and I know that my posts are what have caused this - so again I apologize.

Speaking from recent experience, I think that everyone understands as well as I do, how important a support network is and finding the unconditinal love and support that is here in this village makes a big difference in those of us that need each other for emotional support so this just makes sense.

I don't think you missed anything specific. Examples of topics posted there would be relationship issues, infidelity issues, broken hearts, or vents that are of a more mature or personal nature, depression topics that are more personal, chronic illness topics, disability struggles that may be more personal that a person may not want to share with everyone, abuse topics, co-dependency, issues with our children, etc.

I'd like to think of it as a circle of hope place that is more private for members, while at the same time allowing members that are here for other topics to be able to enjoy the topics they are primarily here for.

An example...I have vitiligo and have only told a few people. There are definitely times that I have things I'd like to say about it, but really don't feel like voicing it to the entire world. I also don't think the entire community wants to read about it here either.

Some support topics are not as deeply personal as others and they can remain in the support forum. It will be up to each individual where they want to post, but they will now have that option.
