Apple Nut Torte
<DIV>1 egg, beaten lightly</DIV>
<DIV>3/4-cup sugar</DIV>
<DIV>1 cup sliced apples</DIV>
<DIV>1-teaspoon baking powder</DIV>
<DIV>1/2-cup flour</DIV>
<DIV>Pinch of salt</DIV>
<DIV>1/4-teaspoon vanilla</DIV>
<DIV>1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Combine the beaten egg with the sugar and apples. </DIV>
<DIV>Stir in the remaining ingredients and pour into a 9-inch greased pie tin. </DIV>
<DIV>Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. </DIV>
<DIV>Serve warm or cold, with whipped cream or ice cream. </DIV>
<DIV>Makes 6 servings.</DIV>
