Apple Dumplings
Apple Dumplings
2 Tubes Crescent Rolls
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled (each cut in 8 parts)
1 1/3 cup sugar
2 sticks butter (not margarine)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 can Mountain Dew (12 oz. can)
Cut apples and roll each piece with a crescent roll and arrange in a 9 x 13 pan. Melt butter, add sugar and cinnamon. Pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Sounds yummy.
I wonder if there is a alternative to mountain dew, as we have given up all sodas and because of the junk they put in them. I guess though in this case most of it would cook out of them anyway?

How about sparkaling water sweetened with apple cider? I bet you would get similar results.
Thanks for the recipe
