Thumbs up Remember baked apples - here is a 1910 recipe for them

I remember eating baked apples when I was much younger and all the candied sugar sticking to my teeth. Here is a recipe I just found in an old 1910 farmer's book.

    Baked Apples

Pare as many apples as you wish of some nice vaiety, entierh swet nor sour; core them by using an apple corer or a steal fork; set them in biscuit tins and fill the cavities with sugar, a little butter and some ground cinnamon. If you like; set them in the oven and bake until done.

I love old books like that. I have several that have great old recipes in them, most of them do not have an oven temp to cook at, they call for hot, moderate or slow ovens. I have tried some of the recipes, they were good, old fashioned and filling.
