    Howdy Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long time (almost 6 months) and my how I have missed you all and I am in need... in dire need of Apple Recipes ...................
    We went to Michigan on Satuday and I wound up with a bushel of a variety of apples..

    So...............
    Please may I have your tried and true..

    Welcome back. I'll have to find my apple cookbook. Ds made in pre-school, all the kids sent recipes, and the teacher made a nice cook book out of them. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.
    Here are a few off the top of my head. apple sauce, baked apples, apple cake, apple crisp, muffins, add some to your oatmeal. HTH.

    Pork Apple Cabbage Skillet
    4 to 5 boneless pork chops 2 bouillon cubes
    2 red skinned apples 1 tsp. caraway seeds
    1 small head white cabbage salt & pepper
    1 C. apple juice splash vinegar

    Brown chops over med. heat about 3 mins. on each side. Cut apples in eights and core. Cut cabbage in wedges, then into 1/2 inch slices. Remove chops from pan. Add apples, cabbage, juice, vinegar and bouillon cubes. Put chops on top. Sprinkle with caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Cover; simmer 20 minutes or til done and tender. Serves 4. This is Marvelous!

    Cabbage Apple Salad
    1/2 head cabbage, shredded 1/2 C. chopped walnuts
    2 apples, washed, cored, chopped 1/2 C. raisins
    2 carrots, grated 1/3 C. Miracle whip
    1 can pineapple chunks, drained 1/4 C. sugar
    1 tsp. caraway seed (optional) 2 Tblsp. cider vinegar

    Mix all in a salad bowl and chill.

    How about just plain old fried apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. They stay for a while in the fridge and freeze well.
