They went up more than that here. The stations near us were $2.25 just a couple of days ago. They are $2.43 today.

reg unleaded in 2.69 here then add 10 cents for each higher grade.. I'm showing my age now... lol
I can remember when gas was 19 cents a gallon. I think the price of gas is really bad...... But you need it so most people will pay the price.

I don't think you can expect this to stop. It will go up and up and up. And it will make EVERYTHING more expensive.

As long as the crude oil prices are going up, you can expect to have higher gas prices at the pump. Along with that, there is a huge demand for gas right now, including a large country who is wanting more and more oil.
I don't expect to ever see gas prices where they were before. You might see them drop, but not a huge amount.
I think its time we all look at different transportation. Our van to fill it right now costs us just over $100. Were walking as much as possible and combining trips because its just gotten too costly.
I can't imagine what heating fuel is going to be this winter!!!!

I am soooo glad we bought our propane for this winter LAST week. A 500 gal. tank cost us $400, but that with our wood stove will last us nearly 2 years.

My news station just reported that in some places the gas prices may rise to over $4.00/gal. That's just down right frightful.

This school year I have to drive my son to PreK everyday. There is no one in my neighborhood that goes to the same school so no carpooling. Most of the places I shop at and our Dr's are inroute (or not too far off) from my son's school so I'll just try to do my errands and appts when I pick him up/take him in.

I know gas prices are really hurting us. My husband commutes 3 hours a day. We are trying to figure out our best options. I am making less trips to town. I haven't even been going to yard sales because of the price of gas! We live about 20 minutes from town. We might have to go back to a horse and buggy!

I forgot to say, the other day I went to town. While leaving Wal*Mart I stopped to get gas. Not paying attention to the prices. I needed it so I went to the place I know has the cheapest gas. They had several cars waiting to fill. I comented to the attendant when it was my turn that they were really hoppin'. He said the BP up the street had just raised their prices, nearly 10 cents!!!! Boy, was I glad I chose that moment to fill up.
We aren't doing dance this year and we will all drive to school together, everyday. If someone has to stay after school for some reason, we will all wait.
