Breakfast
http://www.durgan.org/ShortURL/?UIPFT 31 August 2008 Daily Breakfast
This has been my daily breakfast for many years.Oats cooked in the microwave for 3 minutes, a bowl of previously prepared soy beans. I used brown sugar for sweetener, but recently switched to stevia, since I felt I was consuming too much sugar.
The juice is set out to warm to room temperature, and is consumed later in the morning, since the volume of food is too much at one time. I can function almost all day on this diet. It is dirt cheap to produce.
When camping, I pre-cook a bit of oats and eat as required. The beans and juice will keep in an ice box for about 6 days without deteriorating.

Is that tomato juice? If so, what do you add to it when you make your juice? Or more specifically, how do you make your juice?
My apologies if you mentioned this already. I missed it if you did.

That's a powerful combination! I never would have thought to add the broccoli into the mix. Thank you! I've been on the fence on getting a vita mix. I want to be sure I am committed to using it often and not just getting it as a novelty appliance. So I've put it on my wish list to see if the appeal diminishes or increases over the upcoming months. My delayed gratification tactic.

I once bought an expensive "juicer'. It was a beauty, but took about an hour to clean after use, then I got the inspiration, why juice?, why not the whole fruit?
I now use the blender, and add water to make it any consistency desired. An added plus is I can utilize fruits anad vegetables not normally used for juice.
