Question Do you add anything to your banana bread?

We were actually having a cool day (only 85 degrees!) yeasterday and the bananas on the counter were starting to peel themselves so I thought that perhaps they were a bit bored with being "just bananas". Plus I think they were peeking at the banana bread thread.

Dumb me mentioned to the family that I was going to bake and they started arguing about what they wanted in it. It was between "Ew! I hate nuts" and "Can you put raisins in it?" and "Chocolate chips! Chocolate chips!" the last one being dh.

I ended up not adding anything much to the baby's delight.

What are your favorite add-ins to breads like banana, carrot, zucchini?

I like to add crushed pineapple, coconut, and sometimes chocolate/cherry/vannilla/etc.chips depending on what kind it is.

1 or a mix is what I do, use your imagination.

I add some cinnamon or guava juice to my banana bread. Both give it a great flavor! The favorite around here is cinnamon though with the kids and DH.

I add cinnamon and walnuts. I think chocolate chips would be good, too.
On a side note, isn't it funny how in GA we call it "only 85 degrees" I was so happy, because it was 'only' 83 degrees here, yesterday. Time to get out the flannel sheets, lol.

I add chocolate chips to my quick breads. Banana and pumpkin are really good with chips in them. I just don't add a whole lot to them. Just the illusion of chocolate.
