    Recipe Description
    an indian vegetarian chick pea recipe - mild.
    Preparation Steps:
    mince the garlic
    Level of Difficulty:
    moderate
    Time Needed:
    20 minutes
    Ingredients:
    laxmi chana masala spice
    ghee or butter
    clove of garlic
    tomato paste small can
    can of chick peas
    Serves:
    1
    Directions:
    laxmi chana masala spice (walmart)
    ghee or butter
    clove of garlic, minced
    tomato paste small can
    can of chick peas

    this recipe is right off the chana masala spice box. you can get this from walmart.

    in a 3 quart sauce pan melt butter and cook garlic. stir fry the laxmi chana masala spice for a second or two.

    add beans with the juice, tomato paste and simmer for a while til it tastes done.

    i find i need to add water, cream, yogurt, or milk to thin it. be careful it burns on the bottom.

    this does not leftover well, so make only what you will eat today.

    Thanks for sharing that recipe. I am a fan of curry and chickpeas so I think I'll be making this for my lunch sometime! - No chickpeas for Greebo.

    This sounds different - I'll have to try it. Not sure what Chana masala spice is like, so I'll be experimenting.
