    Smile Black Bean Hummus

    Black Bean Hummus

    Recipe Description
Just received my wkly newsletter from ALLRECIPES & this is one of their recipes. (Not exactly per word, I only wrote down the ingred's) Delish!
    Preparation Steps:
Rinse & drain beans, I used peanut butter instead of tahini paste, lemon juice was bottled juice from frig, garlic was garlic w/olive oil from Aldi's-about 1/2 tsp used, I used lot of red pepper & cayenne-cuz I like it I USED 2 tbsp of EVOO because a reviewer said it was too dry with 2 tsp EVOO. I didn't use jalapeno, cuz I didn't have any.
    Level of Difficulty:
    Time Needed:
    10/15 min tops.
    2 tbsp lemon juice
    2 tsp olive oil
    1 tbsp tahini
    1 tsp cumin
    1/4 tsp salt
1 can black beans rinsed & drained
    :to your taste:
~garlic, chopped fine jalapeno, crushed red pepper & cayenne pepper
    About 1 & 1/2 cups
Place all ingred's in food processor. Blend. Keep in frig. Serve with fresh veg, crackers, etc.
    I used a blender cuz I don't have a processor.

Thank you for this! I was just craving some and didn't have any canned chickpeas left. I never thought of black beans!!!! (And I actually have a can of black beans, too. No need to run to the store.)
