    Week 4 out of 5 is coming to an end, and I have used up almost everything:

    smoked salmon (~ 1 lb) gone
    whole cut up chicken (for fried chicken) gone
    last year's tomatoes (~ 1 lb) gone
    dinner rolls (from Christmas) gone
    pizza dough gone
    sausage link gone

  3. One thing leads to another

    DH announced Saturday morning that he was going to work on the lighting in my sewing room. The lighting that has been broken for the last 5 years. Great! Finally!

    I got back from grocery shopping and he's been up in the attic preparing stuff ... nothing is actually done yet. He asks what I want to do about the light switch being behind the bookshelf. That's fairly simple, we'll take stuff of the shelves and slide it out from the wall a few inches so we can reach the switch.

    Here it is the end of week 2 (out of 5) and I have already used half of the 16 items on the list.

    What remains:

    whole salmon
    smoked salmon (working on this)
    tomato (will be soup tomorrow)
    cold cuts (got some eaten last week)
    popsicles (half gone)
    grilled chicken
    taco filling (will eat later this week)

    Had the last sausage and egg patties for lunch today. Between the freezer and the reheating they ...
