  1. The Real Reason People Save Money

    by , 01-16-2009 at 06:33 PM ([email protected]'s Blog)
This morning it was 2 degrees outside when I woke up. When itís that cold outside, most people tend to want a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate to warm them up. However, I made myself an iced latte this morning. Most people think Iím crazy for drinking iced coffee when itís hardly holding a positive temperature outside. The idea of a hot drink does sound appealing, but I honestly enjoy the taste of cold coffee beverages over hot ones ó itís my personal preference. This made me think of other things ...

  2. 12 Ways To Save Money On A Cruise

    by , 01-16-2009 at 06:11 PM ([email protected]'s Blog)
Iíve been researching prices for a cruise later this year and I am astounded to see how much prices have risen since we cruised last year. After speaking with some travel agents, Iíve learned that this is largely due to increases in the prices of fuel and food. My wife and I are extreme homebodies. I work at home and have worked at home for the past decade. My wife left a successful law practice almost ten years ago to stay at home and be a full time mom and wife. My boys and I would definitely agree that the past decade with my wife at home has been great and I am pretty sure that my wife is usually happy that I am always at home (and I know when I need to hide and give her space if I suspect she wishes I worked in an office)

    When my wife ...
  5. How To Save When Thereís No Money Left

    by , 12-28-2008 at 06:27 PM ([email protected]'s Blog)
You would really love to put aside some savings for a rainy day, but that rainy day is now. It seems like every penny earned is spent before it hits the bank. Saving money is becoming harder for a lot of folks. Some people are so strapped that they have never been able to save a dime.
Not so long ago, I was a single parent, I often worked two jobs and still had to go couch-diving at the end of the month to find change to buy a gallon of milk. Every penny counted. It was a big deal to save ...
