I had the weigh in the the "Lose Weight and Feel Great" Contest at work. I definitely feel great! I lost 8.2 lbs and my partner lost 8.8 lbs!! Granted I wore shoes the first time and had a sweat shirt on. I have been working out every day, have not had any extra sugars or pop and have been eating better (more fruits and veggies). Next week, I'm sure I won't have lost as much. We won't find out how we rank tomorrow. There is a prize each week for the top team. I really hope that we are at the top.

For lunch I had a Healthy Choice Sesame Chicken frozen meal, grapes and a sugar free orange jello. There were no leftovers from the steaks we had for dinner last night.

When I got home from work, I prepped the meatloaf and put it in the oven. We went to the Y and I did 30 minutes on the elliptical on the interval setting. When we got home, the meatloaf was done! It was great! I'll have to remember that little trick when I have things that need to cook for a hour or longer.

I got paid today, so time to go pay some bills!

Congrats on 8 pounds! That is awesome, was it just for one week of loss? If so, that is really amazing!

I swear by the elliptical! It is horrible while your on it...but it really does get your heart rate up better than anything else! I try to do 30 minutes a day on it!

I also just read a tip in Women's Health magazine, that I found intersting, so I thought I would share it with you...

It said that weight training is just as effective as cardio and may be more so. It said that weight training for 30 minutes is the equivilent to running at 6.0 miles per hour for 30 minutes. And it said that weight training can raise your metabolic rate for up to 36 hours! That is something that I didn't know! I was trained to think that to lose weight...cardio was always the way to go, but I guess not!
