Been doing great the last few days.
Total for the month so far
Doing this challenge has really opened my eyes to how much it really is costing me to feed us.
If I did not coupon and cook from scratch as much as I do I can see where this challenge would really be tough to do.
But since I have a nice stockpile purchased at free or low cost and love to cook I do not think that this is going to be that hard.
I am still using the budgeted money to stockpile for the future.
Bought a few thing yesterday and today
DH muffin and coffe
DS muffin and milk
DD eggs with ham
ME muffin and yogurt
Total for breakfast was .15. for an egg and I got the yogurt marked down in the reduced bin and had a coupon. It cost me .05.
DH took leftovers
DS took a soup .75
DD took cheese and crackers .16 for cheese
ME Free at work
Kids Take Crystal light packets in there lunch that I got for free after coupons.
I am keeping track of how much is coming from the stockpile and how much is being spent. But if the package is open it is not being counted as it was opened in October.
Nov. 1 meals
DS had cream of wheat opened in pantry
The rest had fried potatoes with onion, peppers and sausage.
DD had fried ham with hers.
Breakfast cost was .0 as everything was already opened and peppers and onions were from garden.
I am going to partake in the $25 Week challenge for November.
We are a family of 4 and should have a budget of $400.
I am going to do mine a little different than some people.
I am only going to put my budget at $200 for the month.
I have a huge stockpile of food and will be using from it.
I will post what we ate for the day and how much it cost. (if I remember the price if not I will estimate.) I want to see if I can stay in the $400 monthly food stamp total.
