I have a bunch of little balls of yarn from my collection that I decided I will use on some crocheted animals for gifts. Now to sort through my patterns and match yarn. I save every scrap of yarn for making multi colored hats and scarves, but still there are scraps and its a no no to trash them, right ?
I am confident that I will make lots of " stuffies " and reduce the pile--maybe I'll go shopping today and look for a color to match this scrap ! Mmmm, that's how it grows instead
I have almost figured out this site( notice I said "almost"). I want to see my progress by the little icons and I have added them. I will add more as I figure out what else to keep track of. I may not be as ambitious as some in the group, but I'm learning. The ideas presented by others are immensely helpful.
So ! Onward to more savings and goals !
I am almost finished my knitted mittens from a pattern a friend gave me. Now, instead of just hats for my charity knitting, I can make mittens to match. Also, I've started my second week of couponing and adding to my collection so that when Christmas comes, I'll have extra things to put with my handmades.
I'm making most of my gifts and I've got to get busy !
In Virginia where I live, the weather's been nice this week but the leaves are turning. Working on Christmas presents and charity stitchery. I think I've gotten a handle on paying down my bills and saving. Its awesome to read about all of your efforts and I hope to be in your league in times to come. I appreciate how this group rallies around someone to give advice.
Frugal Village and all of your posts have really inspired me and I love reading your ideas. Thanks guys, 'cuz I'm motivated to save ! Its nice to know what other folks do to economize.
