This weekend was a great weekend to say the least, things have been going good pretty so far, but I don’t want to jinx anything. I printed out a lot of coupons at work and stopped at Walgreens on the way home on Friday and after stocking up on a bunch of items, after $42.00 of purchases my coupons were deducted and my total bills as $25.00. Pretty good, this frugal path that we are on is surely paying off. Its great to reap the benefits of everything that we have been doing the past couple of months. Saturday we got up and went to the Chambersburg Icefest which was really fun. We stopped at this one thrift store and I got two items that I'm reselling on Ebay, just because I got a heck of a deal on the antiques. We then walked through the town and picked up some homemade beef jerky at this one vender which was delish. We then just walked up and down the streets looking at all the ice scupltures. They were really neat and I had a few as my favorites. (See all the photos I uploaded).
We then went to our normal thrift stores, got a few bargains, (Eddie Bauer jacket for $2.00) then went to this great candy shop, Olympia Candies. It has been around for so long but they have such great stuff. I was able to get Maddie a hippo to put a way for Valentines day,and we got a cute glass snowman that was 50% off. We then decided to go on more thrift store trekkings so we headed to Greencastle, went to the Goodwill there, and then it was time we were getting hungry. We went over to this Café De Sol, and had such a great time eating lunch. We both got Panini sandwhiches, Heather got a Chicken Pesto and I got a Chicken Barbque they both came with home made chips. It was nice to just sit and spend time together just the two of us. Plus since we saved so much money that day we had extra to go for a lunch. After our purchases and a great lunch we went home, relaxed a bit and then headed to the bar. We were shocked that we saw no one we knew. Its like everyone has picked up and moved on or just are at a new location. We drank and I got my tootsie roll shots, and some Miller Lite and just danced and danced.
Sunday was relax day, we did some wash, I dusted and ran the vacuum around the house, and then closer to the Superbowl kickoff, I prepared some buffalo wings. Mmmm they were so good, we had honey-mustard, barbeque and buffalo style, along with my homemade cucumber salsa (that I made on Friday to use up Cucumbers that I had in the fridge, and chips. We had a little superbowl partie of our own. I stopped at CVS yesterday on the way home from work and got stocked up on cold medicines and such since I rec'd my Flex Spending Card from work in the mail, so I stocked up on Robitusson, Tylenol, Asthma inhaler, Child's cough medicine, nose spray, $38.00 worth, mind my $4.80 CVS Extra Care rewards. So I think I might have jinxed myself on this one because now I'm at work and probably sneezed like 50 times…haha, well glad I got stocked up.!!!

The ice sculptures sound so cool! I'm gonna have to go look at your album and see the pics!

Sounds like you guys had an awesome day on Sunday! I love days like that when you can just leisurely wander and do whatever you want and have no where specific to go!
