Im' starting this blog, because for one it will give me sanity and for another, it will help me log my progress.

Last week was horrible, after Black Friday shopping, by Wednesday my account was negative, so after the paychecks hit, a lot came out of them to pay for overdraft charges, which about killed me, but I sucked it up and then assessed the situation.
I wrote down what I can pay for parking, gas, groceries, layaway, etc here it goes.

$40.00 grocery budget (Went Saturday and spent $37.07)…thank goodness for being under the budget
$60.00 gas charges (I drive from PA to Baltimore to work, so my gas budgets is ridiculous, but you gotta do what you gotta do)
$40.00 parking, (yep, I have to pay $8.00 a day parking so this is non-negotiable)
$13.00 extra (We got our dogs pictures taken with santa at the shelter)
$57.07 Layaway (I had to pay a layaway payment in order to keep my xmas presents in order)

I didn't leave any room for extras because I want to see how this goes till pay day next week. My partner gets paid every week, but the money from that pay needs to be deposited into the savings for our mtg payment.

I have been paying the bills a couple of days late which is driving me crazy, because I'm a perfectionist, but right now I have to do what I have to do to survive.

Goodness, all I feel like I'm doing is surviving.

Even though this budget is for one week, I'm going to try to incorporate this budget starting Thursday till next Thursday & Friday. More pay periods.
I don’t know what else to do but to scrimp and save.

I started writing all my spenditures down on paper, logging them down whenever I paid for something, and so far so good, I'm keeping track of expenses that way.Now ifI could stop worring about the future, (i.e. the next couple weeks for Christmas). This is stressing me out to no end, because a car payment is coming up, cable, mortgage and electric. Funny how the paychecks get spent before we even get them deposited.

I refuse to take out anymore cash advance loans, which got me into a predictament, and this one I'm paying for dearly, but if I just stop thinking about them and just keep paying them down they will go away..

Gosh sometimes I feel like screaming!!! Am I the only one that feels this way?

You are not the only one who feels that crazy feeling. I call it my falling off a cliff feeling.

Cash advance loans....ugggg. It's like dealing with the mafia except they are legal.

Can you have any of your payments on auto pay? I know it's nice to "float" for a few days but it would keep you from having a late pay.

Can you have your utilities averaged and pay only one amount each month?

Can you carpool with anyone? Or even better yet can someone car pool with you? I always hated depending on someone, but perhaps they can pay you.

Can you downgrade your cable? or cell phone?

See you are already in progress. You will find ways.

Can you make any gifts for Christmas?

I hate that treadmill feeling. But you can't ignore it; it will only get worse. The repulsive truth is that you must face how bad things are before you can start to make things better.

You are doing the right thing, even though right now it's really really scary and uncomfortable. Hold fast!
