My savings for this month has been 45.00. Might seem small compared to most, but at this moment I am not stockpiling yet. I will start stockpiling after Xmas. What I did do was to start a separate savings account and will put the coupon savings in that account minus the printing, buying the newspaper and any other expenses that occur. I keep all my recipts and a litte notebook on what was spent and the savings, also at what store. I think the true measure of what I am saving, is once all your expenses have been taken out, then you have the total amount. That savings account will not be touched. I love couponing and watching the hit show Extreme couponing. But buying hundreds of inserts, which cost, two to three printers, ink, those figures add up. It is nice to have a zero balance, but what did I spend to get that balance. I am not knocking anyone about how they go about saving the almighty dollar. I would not spend 5 dollars in gas to save 50 off of an item. It makes no sense to me. My previous post was based on a free give aways and some donated items. No money out of my pocket. Right now, I have not tallied up my expenses yet, because I am waiting for the end of the month. I have added the cost of mailing my expired coupons to military families. I am about to make my binder and will add that as an expense. Everything counts.

Food prices in the U.S. are typically the lowest between 11/1 and 12/24, at least on staples, as the markets use those as loss leaders.

Because of this, I plan to build my stockpile in that period.

Sorry, I haven't read your previous post, so I'm not exactly sure what you're doing, but thought the info. might be helpful!
