The Invisable Paycheck -- Day One

Have you ever had dreams where you were surrounded by everything you could possibly want and/or need in life??? One where you had it all... because you could? One where money was no object because the world was yours for the taking???
Ya... me neither.
The Old Man gets paid today. Today starts the first --invisable paycheck-- which means for the next two weeks we have to live off what was left over from the last paycheck.
I know I need to be responsable. Face it, that's not always easy. I know we need to keep gas in 2 cars... for two weeks. I know I need to buy enough food... for two weeks.
Today started out like most days. I woke up, made DD breakfast, reviewed her spelling words for her test, drove to school. Being Friday, I had to get to the school a little earlier than usual so I can find a parking spot near the school because I had Library duty.
I had finished my Librarian duties. Cold, Rainy, BLAH. I wanted to shop.
I said wanted.
I had the crazy desire to spend spend spend because I could HEAR the no-spend clock ticking in my head.
Yes, I went to the store. Yes, I placed items in the basket. Yes, I went to the register with them. No, I did not spend even a penny while I was in Walgreens!!! I used my Walgreens gift-card that I have been rolling over month after month.
Todays additions will find a home in the gift box until it is stuffed in to a stocking.
For DD --
Revlon Nail Polish -- $4.79
For the Old Man --
Nivea BodyWash -- $4.99
Excedrin Gel Caps -- $3.99
Crest Pro-Health -- $4.99
For Me -- (yes, for me )
Chemistry Leave-in Conditioner -- $7.99
So far so good... I scratched the urge to spend... I got more stocking stuffers... and I didn't spend ANYTHING!!!!
Today... I am definately climbing higher!
