The weather today is MISERABLE, and I swear that my motivation to exercise and eat right is tied to how sunny it is outside!!
I didn't do badly today, but just no energy still, so everything seems to take a lot of effort.
I did do 40 minutes on the treadmill, although I didn't do sit-ups, push ups, or free weights. I did do a little shoveling of compost and garden soil, and I had to haul a couple of armloads of wood up a flight of stairs into the house, so maybe that counts for something.
I drank my 8 glasses of water, and I took my multi-vitamin.
Breakfast was oatmeal, a carrot, and 2 cups of coffee. Snacked on a handful of roasted, unsalted peanuts, then had a late lunch (salad). Dinner was a hodge-podge: half an apple, about 1/2 cup of baked brussels sprouts, a jar of home-canned pears, and a cup of tea.
I had a very BIG craving for something chocolate at about 8pm. I took a swig of soymilk (which is what I always do to take my vitamin), and that seemed to settle it down. Now, I don't crave it at all. Funny, the tricks our minds play on our bodies. A few hours ago, I was ready to make cookies from scratch just to satisfy my "need", and now I have no interest whatsoever.
Besides, who needs chocolate when you have brussels sprouts!!
I am giving myself a B- for the day. My food choices were good, but I could have done a bit more in the athletic department!!
I don't feel like I'm losing any weight this week, although I haven't checked. Maybe because my energy level is so low, I can't imagine that I'm burning very many calories!! If I can make my one pound goal, I'll be thrilled, but I'll be happy even just maintaining last week's victory!
