Okay, total was $114.76. I'm still doing well, staying under budget, but here goes:
Half and Half $2.99
Canning lids $3.99
Half pint jars $20.98
Frozen corn (on sale/6 lbs) $6.98
Sure-Gel (2 boxes) $6.58
Yogurt (on sale/6 containers) $3.60
Frozen blueberries $8.15
Spring mix (lettuce) $3.99
Dry mustard (on sale/4 containers) $15.16
Pine nuts (organic/bulk/.76 lbs) $15.19
Sunflower seeds (organic/raw/bulk/1.47 lbs) $2.93
Walnuts (bulk/.63 lbs) $4.40
Bananas (on sale/20.09 lbs) $7.84
Potato chips (1 bag) $2.49
I think I did well this trip. The only junk food was the potato chips. No sushi this time!! I want credit for that!!
The raisins and walnuts are for zucchini bread, as I am trying to find ways to use up some surplus.
The canning jars/lids/mustard/Sure-Gel/labels are for canning purposes. I wanted to make some more nectarine mustard, and the dry mustard was on sale. I wish I could find that stuff in bulk, as one container doesn't even have enough for a full recipe. Also going to use up that last watermelon to make up some more jelly.
Yogurt and Half-and-Half are staples.
Bananas were on sale for .39/lb!!! That is rare here, as they are usually $1.09/lb. These were in bags marked as "ripe" (although quite a few were still green). I have peeled and frozen the really ripe ones, and they will be reconstituted as soymilk smoothies down the road.
The blueberries and corn are for the chickens.
The pine nuts and sunflower seeds are for the parrots.
The lettuce is bunny food.
