    by , 05-05-2009 at 12:13 AM
I didn't HAVE to go shopping tonight, but Safeway had chicken on sale for .79/lb, and the sale ends tomorrow, and I really wanted to get some for the pups, so I decided to go. Found some other great deals while I was there.

    The list:

    Chicken (approx 17 lbs at .79/lb) $13.40
Beef back ribs (approx 19 lbs at $1/lb) $19.00
Organic frozen corn (2 bags) $6.00
Organic mixed veggies (2 bags) $7.00
Bag o' shredded cheddar cheese $4.99
    Tunafish ...

    by , 05-01-2009 at 11:07 PM

Had to buy the wood for the frames, and then I had to buy hardware cloth, to keep out the gophers. Followed by tomato cages, which, when expanded, act as a pretty good fence to keep my dogs out of the beds. Followed by bags of garden soil, because the run is set up in such a way that a truck would not be able to back up with a bulk delivery ...
