  1. A week on the ranch (March 23 - March 29)

    Busy week at work, which always makes the days fly by. I had a knitting class on Thursday and a beading class on Saturday, so it was also a well rounded week!

    After a rainy weekend, the sun came out again on Monday, and it was a short-sleeve-shirt kind of week. Which was nice, because I did a lot of walking and outside work. Also got stuck in my share of meetings - yawn.

    I cheated and checked the scale this morning, and I had dropped 1.4 pounds from Saturday's weigh-in!!

    Emboldened by my success, I tried to make today count!

    I spent most of the day outside, working on the chicks' pen, which meant I was too busy to think about eating and too dirty, when I did think about it, to want to stop and come inside.     Okay, through the food list first, because it is easy to forget! Breakfast was steel-cut oats with rice milk. One cup of coffee with sugar and cream. Lunch was a 140-cal Fiber One energy bar and a hard-boiled egg. I also juiced five blood oranges and had a glass of juice. Dinner was a salad. I had either 8 or 10 glasses of water (couldn't remember, so I had another 2 just to be safe), and I washed down the multi-vitamin with a final swig of water, just as a chaser.

    I didn't do as well as I hoped today, but compared to yesterday, I did great!

    I had four glasses of water. I meant to drink water at work, but got caught up in what I was doing and forgot. So bad on the water.

    I had oatmeal for breakfast, a half of a turkey sandwich with fries for lunch, and about a cup of sunflower seeds for dinner. (I bought a bag of roasted/salted the other day, so I've been munching on it.) I also snacked on a small snack bag of carrots ...

    Okay, today was just bad. Bad, bad, bad. I think I'm taking today as my "free" day, rather than Saturday. I didn't do one thing right today.

    Suffice it to say the day started with me missing breakfast and ended with me eating a bowl of ice cream.

    Sigh.

    Free day. I'll make up for it on Saturday.
