    Plugging along, really hoping for a one pound loss this week! I am worried about it, because I have to go out of town tomorrow for an overnight trip, so that will be two days of eating on the road and no exercise to speak of - always a challenge. I'm hoping to get my treadmill time in tomorrow morning before I leave.

    My goal this month is $560 or less. Made my first grocery run today and spent $87.72. The breakdown is as follows:

    2.5 gallon jug of water (2): $6.98
    soymilk (2): $7.98
    Half and Half (2): $5.98
    Starbuck's Frappucino Raspberry 4 pack: $7.99
    Bananas (7 pounds): $7.61
    cough drops: $3.99

  3. A week on the ranch (January 26 - February 1)

    And just like that, the first month of the year is gone. So fast, and now it will never ever be January 2009 again.

    This week marked the arrival of Polly, the angora rabbit. She is the first of hopefully four or five rabbits I hope to ultimately keep for their wool. She showed up yesterday (well, actually I drove five hours round-trip to get her), and we spent today getting acquainted.     Starting out the week strong, I did both my free weights and 47 minutes on the treadmill. Drank 10 glasses of water, because I had already had my 8 when I got on the treadmill and thought I should replenish some of that water I sweated out!

    Breakfast was a banana and two hard-boiled eggs. Lunch was a pita bread with hummus. I got hungry a few hours later, and ended up having a second pita with hummus, mostly because it was the last pita, and that always seems to be my weakness ...

    Giving myself today off, so I'm just taking a second to record progress thus far (since today was a weigh-in day).

    Weight loss this month: 5.8 pounds

    Last month, my measurements were:

    39 (bust)
    34 (waist)
    41 (hips)
    24.5 (thigh)

    This month, my measurements are:

    37 (bust) (-2")
    30 (waist)(-4")
    39 (hips)(-2")
    21.5 (thigh)(-3")

    So I'm doing SOMETHING ...
