I woke up feeling like crud, so I stayed home and nursed a cold all day. That being said, no treadmill, because I couldn't even muster up the energy to look at it!

I had 1/4 mini-loaf of my applesauce bread and 1/2 nectarine, because I shared breakfast with the parrots. One cup of coffee.

I drank my 8 glasses of water, so kept up there, anyway.

Lunch consisted of a handful of organic flaxseed tortilla chips with roasted garlic hummus. Sounds decadent, ...

Got caught up in work today, so didn't do everything just right, but still got a few things in.

I did my 30 minutes on the treadmill. Starting to get addicted to it. I put on "What Not to Wear" or "You Are What You Eat" for motivation and then just plug along until my 30 minute mark.

Took a shower and took a little extra pamper time to moisturize my face and style my hair. I resisted the urge to pull on jeans and actually dressed business ...

I gave myself yesterday off, for the federal holiday.

Today was a great day, especially since I had to get in early to get to a meeting.

I did everything right. I got up early and did 30 minutes on the treadmill while watching "What Not to Wear." I had a bowl of oatmeal with rice milk and a few cups of water while getting ready for work.

Dressed in business casual and French-braided my hair. Drank one cup of coffee while getting ready. ...

  4. A week on the ranch (January 12 - January 18)

The roosters seem to have worked out their differences, although Gunther was definitely dethroned. I am thinking of getting more hens, just so there are more to spread around, and each rooster might feel he has his little harem.

I opened up the coop and allowed the hens who have been shut up in there (because ...

Not a bad day, overall. I drank all eight glasses of water, took my vitamin, and I went on my four mile walk/run. I didn't do weights, but it was intentional, because I spent about 90 minutes outside, digging holes for future trees.

Today was weigh-in day, and I have lost two pounds this week, and six pounds since the first of the month! Woo hoo!!

I had oatmeal for breakfast, then a snack of a cup of yogurt with a sprinkle of granola on top. Lunch was a big green ...
