I finally got my taxes ammended and have to drop it off at the post office.

i'm $150 short on bills and have 4 days to come up with it by working. Should be doable unless my kids have some kind of crisis.

I get a paycheck of $180 2 days after the bills are due so I should be ahead once I get them paid on time.

I do laundry at a friends house. I buy laundry detergent and softner for both of us to use. SO far i've spent $20 on detergent and it lasted 6 weeks. This arrangement is working well.

Glad the arrangement for laundry is working out for you. $20 for 6 weeks isn't bad but have you tried making your own? It is so much cheaper and I like the detergent better.

I've made home made detergent before. I have an empty detergent bottle now so i can make some soon. I'm going to run the idea to my friend to see if it is "acceptable" to her. I figure i'm saving at least $40 a month with our arrangement.

It's great to have friends to share - everyone wins. Just started using my home made powdered detergent and it's working well. Since I have to use the dryer, I also bought those ribbed rubber balls for the dryer so eliminate using dryer sheets and shorten the drying time. An investment, but I still win in the long run!!

    Keep up the good work!!
