I decided that it was important that I start in this.

I have a tax free savings account that I opened, and today I deposited $516 So that is a great feeling. That's nearly 2 classes paid for. I should have more money coming in tomorrow. And that check will got to the FFEF

There may be more when it's all said and done. We're on holidays for two weeks camping, and really other than groceries and a case or 2 of beer, we don't spend, so I'll likely have another $300 then ...

Today was one of those days. At kindergarten we were giving out their scrapbooks. This is good, we have SLAVED over these to get them completed, there were so many great days at the end of the year, it made for scrambling.

We decided that instead of going over the books in class, I had wanted to gift the teacher with a slide show of this year. I worked on it for 5 days. I put it together with pictures, video clips, music he'd recorded with the kids and a very special song. He loved ...

The conversation came up last night where we were talking about what can I do to replace my income. I said, you know, my certification in the dental field is expired now, i'd have to take schooling all over again, not a big deal, I can challenge the level ...
  4. Being proactive.

Well, the spending budget has shrunk for the summer. It is what it is.

I will be able to make a little extra doing some part time for a couple families that would like to maintain if possible, that'll be a little increase.

So today when I got my deposit, I have paid all but 1 bill with that money. After our garage sale I'll pay the last one, and deposit the balance into savings.

So from my July pay, I don't have any bills to pay. I'll put most of that into ...
  5. Can someone beat Murphy for me?

by , 06-19-2009 at 01:35 AM (Travelling on the frugal path to Freedom)
    Murphy has gotta go.

As I mentioned, I totally jinxed myself last Friday morning. I told dd that we were so lucky this year as we won't need to do more interviews as no one is leaving the daycare.

WELL... that Murphy needs to learn to mind his manners and not eavesdrop. Friday afternoon I got notice that one little guy would be leaving at the end of the month, he is in fact done tomorrow.

And if that wasn't bad enough, Murphy has now struck again. ...
