Is it Fall Already?

The leaves are already turning yellow on some of the trees across the alley! I feel cheated out of summer. I have been very busy.
The last couple of days I canned 32 cups of sugar-free applesauce (with stevia). I also finished hooking 5 rugs for sale, and have another 4 almost ready to go. I received a cheque for the ones that sold. That feels good.
I am gearing up for a big sale this fall. I was given 'heads up' notice one of the shops I sell my rugs at will want Christmas rugs come the end of September. Time to get hookin'!
I took one of my rugs in to get framed. But even at $50 it is too much. I cannot make a profit on it by the time I add my costs and time.
I am still volunteering as an ESL tutor. I am backing down though. Too much to do and too little time. Need to fit in some serious work and set up a schedule for myself.
Our C&H account has doubled. Need to triple it by the end of the year. Here's hoping! Hubby wants to buy a new TV and blu-ray DVD player. Right now we're working with 2 old TV/DVD/VCR setups. They seriously need to be sold. Nothing wrong with them. Just not the new toys hubby wants. Ah well. We'll see. I think he suspected there might be some resistance from me, because suddenly he says he'll put the TV setup in the basement, where I've wanted it for years.
But he met no resistance because I want to leave the Dark Ages and join Modern Times by buying a cell phone for the first time. He is dead set against them. I am finding a growing need for one with my growing business.
So right now we're at a stalemate. He gets the TV, and I get the cell phone, or nothing happens. He's trying to get me DD#1's old iPhone with "inconsistent battery" issues...for processing credit cards at craft sales. I don't think so... Will be talking to DD#1 tonight about it on the phone...with him on the other line. Just to make sure he, and she, understands. DD#1 is in the cell phone business.
Other than that, things are moving along at a fair clip here. We enjoyed Rhein's 100th birthday bash in rural SK. A good time was had by all!
We are harvesting produce from our patio garden. It isn't a lot, but it's some. Right now it's herbs and celery. We have a bad case of powdery mildew on our pumpkin, zucchini, and spaghetti squash. Must get out and spray it with more milk. That is supposed to help.
Never did get the egg shells in the tomato pots before planting the tomatoes. As a result I am starting to see some blossom end rot develop. It's been very wet and cold here, and that seems to encourage blossom end rot.
