It's 3 am. I fell asleep early and forgot to put the cat away. He woke me up at 2 crying at my bedroom door. Not sure why as he could go anywhere else in the house he wanted, and he isn't allowed in my room anyway. Stupid cat. Plans for today as I took today off work to catch up on some stuff:
Super clean dining and living rooms
wash my sheets
Make banana nut muffins for the freezer
Label freezer food I threw in there the other day without any labeling.
Didn't do much at all on Monday 8/19. Spent several hours making phone calls in the morning that only frustrated me. Then worked from 2-6 with a meeting afterwards. Got off around 6:35. At least it was a no spend day, and that is what is important.
Up until about 6-9 months ago I spent all Sunday cleaning my home. Now I do little on Sundays, and the house has been showing it. So today I got some stuff done. Not as much as I wanted. Of course, my workout was put off as usual. Instead I need to put myself first.
Since we have started eating more fresh food and very little processed, I haven't done much in way of coupons. Got out my coupon basket today and cleaned it out. I had some inserts from last Dec. Now I only kept
Need to put into action all that I have learned about frugal living. I'm taking a 6 week break from the frugal village to see how I do on my own. I will be back to check on you all and update my status as well.
I've been trying to figure out how to stay on track with everything: bills, budget, housework, work, etc. I feel overwhelmed. I divorced over 6 years ago. You would think I would have a handle on things; however, it has just been getting worse and worse with finances. So even if no one reads this but me, maybe seeing it in print will inspire me to do better.
I have a 16yo daughter that will be a senior tomorrow. I have one year to figure out where the college money is coming
