    It has been a busy summer so far. I still tutor four mornings a week. I tutor ESL to both adults and children. It is volunteer work I do through the church. I also managed to teach a gentleman to drive Canadian style. He has his license and I am relieved I do not have to drive with him anymore.

    Well as planned I paid off the first mortgage last year
    And I paid off the second in April of this year
    I also paid off our C.Union loan
    now I have started to replace
    -new used vaccumn $29.95 S.A. Eureka Hepa bagless
    -new fridge Maytag top freezer traditional $800.
    -new dishwasher $600. also Maytag
    -power washer-gas
    -gas string trimmer
    -replaced boards on the deck
    -painted front door

    I have always been creative when it comes to restyling my thrift shop finds. Something in me is compelled to change the item once it is in my possession. From clothes, accessories and furniture. I must put my stamp on it. Lately I have been redesigning some of my old pieces as well as my newly purchases items. My one missing weapon is a sewing machine.     What's that? Well things have slowed down a bit here, but I am busy catching up on my rest and crafting. I finally hung the paintings I had framed on the wall. It required an entire shuffle of paintings throughout the house. We decided to use our long hall wall as an art gallery/storage for paintings. It will be kinder to the paintings than storing them on the floor in the basement or in a cardboard box.

    Long time reader...I'm shy online as I am in real life. But I want some sort of accountability so I thought I'd start a blog.

    I create a lot of rules for myself and then create challenges to stay within those rules and then add random other challenges to makes things more challenging!

    So I want to work within a $115/week grocery budget (for two) with some added caveats (locally sourced, minimal packaging, organic/sustainable) and ensure we don't go hungry.
