  1. Week 9 of the $25 grocery challenge

    Well I busted the budget again. But it was well worth it.
    Spent $66.39 But I saved Drum roll $$$$222.65

    I traded for some more of those awesome $3 off any pork coupons. I ended up with 30 more of them.
    This week I got $91.07 worth of meat and used a total of combined coupons for $90.00.
    I only paid $1.07 for all of the meat I purchased this week.

  3. 5/31/09-interview,grocery,ect

    I made it to my interview and everything during the interview went great but getting there that was another story. I do have to take a test next Saturday. They had shut down all the off ramps on the 710 freeway right at the 405 freeway for a couple of miles and no signage for detours. So I had to get off after a few miles and ended up driving thru the refineries in Long Beach. Luckily I drove a few miles and made a few rights and found the street I was looking for.     I am thrilled to report baby veggies on just about all the plants. The beans are behind and are just now blossoming, and a couple of the tomatoes are taking their time, but everything else has gotten the memo that spring is here and it is time to get to work!

    In the fruit world, the pluot and plums were a bust this year. My one pluot vanished, I suspect the work of birds. Same with the cherries. I had tons of them, but I think the birds think I planted the tree for them. ...

  5. Getting finances under control=a more organized life??

    Really, at this point I may just still be on that motivation 'high'!

    But in the past few weeks I've noticed a shift in thinking.
    Once I decided to get back on top of our finances and get things in order with our budget, I've noticed that I feel overall more organized.

    I've been clearing things out of the house, reorganizing kitchen shelves, staying more on top of the paper 'clutter', etc.

    Has anyone else felt this? Or could it just be all in my
