Rainy, nasty day today. It is always hard to feel motivated to do the right thing when it is grey and wet outside. That cold, miserable weather just seems to soak into my bones.

I had to drive out to pick up some chicken feed today, so I was out of the house about two hours. The rest of the day was spent knitting, cooking, and playing with animals!

Food-wise, it was a difficult day to track. I think I have it all covered, but today was a nibble here, nibble there, ...

  2. Weekend Update - Feb 21st & 22nd

This weekend was nice and relaxing, just what I needed.

Saturday, dh and I set up a new apartment for two new hockey players. We had to go to Walmart and Dollar Tree and pick up additional supplies and only spent $108.79, which will be reimbursed by the Booster Club. That only took a few hours. My other brother has begun to check out men in front of me, or make comments like "He's cute" (that's ...

I do what I can to get out into the sunlight, to limit the junk food and caffeine, take my medication, and talk. With all that I do, however, I recently found myself going through a relapse, of sorts. So, I started reading about ways to help myself re-focus and basically just cheer myself up. It occured to me that many of us, even ...
  5. Frugal Cleaning

I know we all have our own ways of keeping our cleaning product bill low. I'm guessing many of us do this by making our own cleaning supplies, or at least using fewer cleaners. My frugal cleaning experience began when I realized that the commercial cleaners were causing my son to exhibit signs of sickness. Now I have a few tips to share with those of you who are looking for ways to cut the cleaning supply bill, or are looking for "safer" ways to keep your home clean.
