    Clearing a Space for Change

In life, we tend to have an easier time acquiring possessions than we do getting rid of them. Just as we harbor emotional baggage that is difficult to let go of, our lives can tend to be filled with material objects that we may feel compelled to hold on to. Most people are not conscious of how much they own and how many of their possessions are no longer adding value to their life. They fiercely hold on to material objects because this makes them feel secure ...

NO luck. I was dissapointed. Its a used book store but they do have new books there, Just books pertaining to our province, or authors from our province.

He looked up the book for me, they did have one copy of it before but it was sold.

I asked if they could order it in for me but they couldnt. He did tell me another place that sells some magazines and some books that I could check and see if they could order it in for me.

  3. Great shopping trip!

    by , 01-16-2009 at 12:17 PM
I was up early today, so I decided to take advantage of a $20 off $100 order coupon that they emailed me. I got $181 of groceries for $86.32 oop. Woo Hoo! I need to go back and use the last of my Muir Glen coupons. My total oop for the year is now $90.59. I'm trying real hard to stay close to $200 for food only (so out of the $90.59, $67.59 is non-food). Food budget left is $177.

Finally, I checked the account and it is back to normal, DP's car payment cleared, my car payment cleared yesterday, I paid the cable, and paid the car insurance.
I paid $65.00 down on the one payday loan and the one loan should be paid of and a $40.00 credit card payment, So I am down to 2 3/4 loans. As tempting as it was to call that one place when I was all stressed out, I held my own and just kept telling myself no no no. The one loan automatically took 65.00 towards the principal this ...
  5. Groceries and savings and other adventures (LONG)

by , 01-16-2009 at 11:37 AM (a step in the right direction)
I did my grocery shopping yesterday. I spent a lot of money but most of this was sales, and my major shopping. stuff for dd's birthday party and her birthday gift. As a lot of you probably remember I have to go out of town to do most of my shopping. There are 2 small grocery stores here, but things are much more expensive and there is not a very good selection of anything. It is 45 minutes to an hour for me to drive there...all this with the heat and blowerfan gone in my car!!!
