  1. 1/1/09 I cross the starting line

What an incredibly crabby morning I had yesterday. I couldn't even figure out what was wrong with me. Finally just before lunch I figured it out: I was feeling even more like a misfit than ever. We're having some long-time friends over tonight. We don't see them nearly so often as we should, in part because our lives are so different. I caught myself playing the comparison game and coming up short.

Once I realized that I was being monsterously unfair to me and to them (they aren't ...

The morning started earlier than I would have liked on a holiday. Dh woke me up at 8:00 and said, don't you have to be at work it's 8:00! I couldn't go back to sleep after that.

We went to the Y around 10am and did 30 minutes on the Elliptical. I can tell that I am building up a little endurance, because it's not as hard to get through the whole 30 minutes.

I went to the grocery store and bought some makings for Panini sandwiches and pasta salad. I made a ham ...

Spa day today! I gave myself a facial ("mud" mask) and took a longer-than-necessary shower. Combed out my hair and even put a little product into it, even though I had no plans to go anywhere. Since I was primping, I added a little powder foundation and blush.

I have managed to drink six glasses of water so far, and hope to get another two down before the end of the day, at which point, I will refill my eight-cup pitcher and start chilling it for tomorrow.

Well I did not reach my fall fling goal of getting rid of 100 items, In my defence I did join the challenge late.

I am going ahead with this goal until I reach the 1000 items that I wanted to get rid of.

I got rid of another 79 items tonight. Mostly clothes that the kids have out grown but thats 79 more items added to my total

I am in a major decluttering mood, I am going through stuff and trying to organize things so that we can start 2009 ...

  5. Decided to change my project a month

by , 01-01-2009 at 09:21 PM (a step in the right direction)
I decided to change my project a month for this month, it looks like I am not quite ready to get my master bedroom in order.

I decided to go through the 8 boxes of clothes in the basement that is packed away for the kids. That is not including coats.

My reason for picking this goal is that the baby now 16 months old is starting to out grow what is is currently wearing so I need to take out the next size.

So what needs to be done here is:
