  1. Second house to be rented Monday

    by , 09-26-2008 at 03:29 AM
Well the realator told me that the renter would sign the lease and put their deposit down on house number 2. I need about 10 k to finish up house number 3, But am hoping to get it by the end of next month. I had an additional expense of 2.5k for wiring and some desparate fool. removed my downspouts and metal pole holding up an awning for scrap.Probably got 50 cents for the pole and will cost me a lot to replace.
  2. 9/25/08 - Mostacolli Meatballs

    by , 09-25-2008 at 09:20 PM
I cooked Mostacolli Meatballs with Texas Toast and Corn. It turned out pretty good. I was going through my spice cabinets and found some Mrs Dash Garlic and Herb. I added some to the meatballs. It was good, but I may have added a little too much spice. I did find some other spices that had gone bad and expired awhile back. We could still have another full meal with the leftovers.

I could just tell you my savings, but I'd rather show you...

On a good note, I had a salad for lunch that I brought from home (pre-packaged, but whatever... it's still a no spend day)!!!! It wasn't so bad not to go out for lunch...
  5. 9/23/08 - Salisbury Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Peas

    by , 09-23-2008 at 10:28 PM
Tonight we had Salisbury Steak, mashed potatoes and peas. Awhile back I had bought fresh hamburger patties (5 pounds) and then froze them in packs of 4. I did not have any of those left for tonight, so I just made my own patties! They turned out even better than the premade patties and regular hamburger is cheaper!! So, I am saving some money there. I cook the hamburger patties with one cup of water with brown gravy mix poured over top for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. I made mashed potatoes, ...
