    Surgery #2 on the left leg done . . we'll hope that's it on that leg. If this doesn't work, I'll need skin grafts

    Not sure when I'll be able to get the right leg done. . . the pain is definitely getting worse, but I need to wait until after July 1, next year . . for FML reasons. We'll see if I can make it that far.

    For now, just waiting on the grand daughter to make her arrival

    By making a few simple changes to Internet, Cable, and Cell phone service I have saved us $687 a year.

    $3.95/month for some sort of assurance plan for our cable that we have never used.
    $18.00/month for reducing our internet service from Preferred to Value-they said I can change back no problem if I don't like the slower speed.

  5. Daisy's broken leg - return of the mummy

    Okay, so I head down into the birds' room the other day, and there is one of my parakeets, sitting there, leg sticking out at a forty-five degree angle. The look on her face says, "What are you going to do about it?"

    I catch her (and she bites me in the process) and we go to the vet. Turns out that Daisy has a broken leg. The vet puts a tape splint on her and says these work great with budgies. Bring her back in a month and we'll take it off.
