Tonight, I made several mini-loaves of artisan bread. I think it was Crazy Homemaker who listed the link. SO easy and SO good! I made 7 loaves (well, 8, but I didn't hear the oven timer on the 8th one, so it burnt).
The basic recipe is 1.5 T of yeast and 1.5 T of salt in 3 cups of warm water. Add 6.5 cups of flour. Mix, then let rise 2 hours. Shape into loaves and set on plate covered with cornmeal, and let rise 40 minutes. Cut a couple of slits in the dough, then bake in 450F oven ...
