    Easy Wheat Bread


    Recipe Description
    Easy recipe -- makes great rolls too
    Preparation Steps:Level of Difficulty:
    Easy
    Time Needed:
    3 hours
    Ingredients:
    3/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
    2 tablespoons oil
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup bread flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 teaspoon rapid rise yeast
    Serves:
    1 - 1lb loaf -or- 6 rolls
    Directions:
    Bread Machine --- Place all ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select Whole Wheat cycle and Regular bake time; press Start.

    After 5 minutes, check how the dough is kneading, it may need either 1 tablespoon of flour or 1 tablespoon of water, depending on the consistency. Once the bread is done, allow it time to cool on a wire rack before cutting.

    Oven --- Prepare as usual, allowing it to raise twice. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Cover loaf with aluminum foil, and continue to bake for 30 minutes. Remove bread to wire rack to cool. Let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
