Recipe DescriptionThis is a sweet biscuit made from Amish Friendship Bread starter. I think it is outstanding and has never failed me. I eat these as a treat as well as with meals. They are very addictive!Preparation Steps:No preparation steps needed other than setting out the dry ingredients.Level of Difficulty:EasyTime Needed:30 minutesIngredients:FlourServes:
Butter or margarine
Milk or buttermilk
Amish starterapprox. 16 biscuitsDirections:3-3/4 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 stick butter or margarine
Blend dry ingredients and cut in butter as for regular biscuits.
3/4 cup milk or buttermilk
1-1/2 cups Amish starter
Knead, roll, and cut.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes. The tops will brown nicely.
The inside will be moist and not dry.
