Cat Head Biscuits

Recipe Description

Cat Head is a Southern colloquial term regarding the size of the biscuits. Recipe makes seven large biscuits. I cook them in a cast iron biscuit pan with seven cells. They could be as easily dropped onto a sheet pan.

Preparation Steps:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cooking time using my pan is 30 minutes.

Time Needed:Ingredients:

3c AP flour
4tsp. baking powder
3/4tsp salt
1 stick of unsalted butter (8Tbsp)
1 1/2 cups of milk

Serves:Directions:

shift together dry ingredients
cut in butter until it resembles a course meal
add milk
stir until just combined

Thanks for posting this recipe. We usually just use bisquick and I don't like the chemical taste. I just realized AP flour= All purpose flour not A& P like the old groc. store. It's EARLY. Perhaps coffee is in my future. lol
