Cheese Drop Biscuts
Recipe DescriptionNot as good as Red Lobster's but yummy all the same.Preparation Steps:make sure the butter is coldLevel of Difficulty:EasyTime Needed:Ingredients:2 cups all-purpose flourServes:Directions:
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon dried chives
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening or butter
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, chives, garlic salt and salt. Cut in the shortening until the mixture has only small lumps. Add milk and cheese and stir until moistened. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden.
