Chocolate Zucchini Cake

A good way to use some of that end of summer zucchini!
Preparation Steps:
Preheat oven to 325*. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 cake pan.

Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. vegetable oil or applesause
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
4 Tbs. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. finely diced zucchini
1/3 c. chocolate chips
Serves:Directions:
Beat together the butter, oil (or applesauce), and sugar. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, cloves, and cinnamon. Stir the flour mixture into the sugar mixture alternately with the milk. Add zucchini and 1/4 c. of the chocolate chips. Pour into the cake pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. (This cake may fall slightly)
