I will look when I have time.
I do know off the top of my head eggs were 89 cents a dozen this week and gasoline has been cheaper that the prices in the first post.
There are also somethings on the list that we no longer buy.

Thanks! Interesting to see that the price of some items has come back down - way down, like milk.
I was looking at old posts and was curious to see any changes.2021 Goals:

holy cow...are these sales prices? I don't see prices this low. Are we talking 90% lean beef ?
-
04-26-2016, 02:41 PM #22
Yes 90% lean beef and it was a three times a year sale. It is called a bulk sale but they let you buy as much or as little as you want basically.
Lean pork was 1.59 or 1.89 depending on the cut. We also bought some of that. 1.29 of you get a small bone in it.
Most of the other things are just the prices as the store

~Your prices are a lot lower than mine too, but I find that gas prices are pretty closely tied to food prices. And those are tied into income. Basic cost-of-living stuff right?
Your gas is 75% of the current national average($2.09). My gas cost is just at or a few pennies below the national average. So you're generally paying 25% less for food than I am.
Chicken, cheese and bread are the same here, but everything else on your list is much less than we would pay even on a big sale. Milk goes on sale for $2 a gallon. It's been ages since a $1 doz egg sale. They're usually $3. Butter is $3 on sale. Lean ground beef on sale never drops below $3.50. Cheapest ever for strawberries was $1.50lb and they usually limit to 2 per customer, but I was lucky to get some at the farmer's market across town for that price without limits. But then I have to factor in driving an extra 20 miles.~

Forgot hamburger buns tan to the local store. Hot dog buns were 1.39 for white buns store brand. They had some name brand buns for up to $4 a bag.
I was surprised at the prices as I was use to 69 cents a bag.
This is on the same town, just a different store them I normally shop at. Although the it is where I buy my meat on sale. Best meat in town.

These prices are really low compared to here. I just got groceries and paid $2.89 (sale) ground beef/chuck, Milk is $2.80, Gas is $2.29, 1 pound of store brand shredded cheese $4.28. I have a build a menu subscription and the prices they put out for Walmart are much lower than my Walmart. I don't live close to an aldi's or much of anything. We have BI-LO, Ingles, and Walmart here.

Very interesting thread. I keep my receipts for the month but then I go thru them and toss. I think I might start keeping a few of the bigger grocery receipts to do a yearly check on prices. I do know that prices seem to be climbing in my area. Eggs were on sale for 99 cents dozen around Easter but not since. I don't know about meat prices as I only buy
markdown meat.
Might be fun to keep a one sale flyer for each month just to compare.
